NACIS 2025: Your conference toolkit

Your conference toolkit

As you prepare to travel to Louisville, remember to:
  • Get the Slack app set up with the NACIS Slack group so you can participate in online conversations
  • Take a look at the What to Expect page if you’re new to NACIS or returning after a long absence

Can’t make it this year?

We know that some of our members aren’t able to join us in Louisville this year, and we’ll miss you. Hopefully we’ll see you in 2026.

Look for the NACIS Shop

New this year and only available at the conference, a locally-printed conference tee with a pocket! Shirts, cool new stickers, and luggage tags will be available at the NACIS shop located next to the registration desk.

NACIS 101

Are you attending NACIS for the first time and feeling a little overwhelmed? Attended before but want to hear more about getting the most out of your conference? Join us in the Map Gallery at 8:30am on Thursday Oct. 16th for a special introductory session designed specifically for you. New Attendee Ambassadors David Nuttall, Margot Carpenter, Rebecca Ramsey, and Yanbing Chen; Program Co-chairs Nick Lally and Vicky Johnson-Dahl; and others will be there to help you get oriented and answer your questions.

Whether you’re looking to make the most of the sessions, connect with fellow cartography enthusiasts, or navigate the event more easily, meet us in the Map Gallery for a warm welcome and some pro tips to start your conference off right!

Student editorial volunteer wanted

Cartographic Perspectives logoNACIS is seeking a student volunteer to act as an editorial assistant for Cartographic Perspectives. This volunteer will check references and quotations as articles are prepared for publication. You’ll see behind the scenes of the publication process, be credited on the masthead of one of the primary English-language cartography journals, and receive a small honorarium. See the job listing for details, and reach out to Daniel Huffman with any questions. If you are an educator, please consider sharing this with your students.
