NACIS Night Out

NACIS Night Out is back for 2025! This is your chance to make new carto-friends and catch up with those you already know. We invite you to a night of bowling, arcade games, and socializing. Tickets for the Thursday, October 15th event are available through conference registration. (If you already registered, you can still buy a ticket via the registration portal.) Your $15 ticket includes admission, bowling, and light snacks, with additional food and drink available for purchase on site.

Interested in a more low-key evening? NACIS Night In will be held in the Map Gallery. We’ll have puzzles, board games, and crafts. You’re also welcome to bring your own mappy games or other map-related activities.

The NACIS Map Swap returns

Remember to pack extra maps to share (and to leave room in your suitcase for new, free maps for your collection). You don’t need to contribute in order to take maps, as there will be plenty to go around. Find the Map Swap during the Friday afternoon break. Questions? Ask Jen Mapes.

Wondering what to do in Louisville?

Cover of the Louisville Visitor GuideLouisville bills itself as “a city that combines heritage with innovation, authenticity with originality, and quirkiness with friendliness in a way that’s completely unique to our region.” Before traveling to the conference, you can learn more about Louisville on the official website or in the official Visitor Guide

You’re invited to the National Geomatics Expo 2025, which offers something for everyone — from engineers and developers to policymakers and business leaders. This event is not just about learning; it’s about engaging with the future of geospatial technology, discovering new solutions, and creating lasting collaborations that will drive the industry forward. A highlight of the event is the Canadian Geomatics and Geospatial Advisory Forum on November 3, a free, open session that brings associations, professionals, government, and industry together for roundtable discussions on workforce development and procurement collaboration.
