NACIS membership census

NACIS is conducting an anonymous census of its entire membership and we hope you’ll volunteer a few minutes of your time to help our community. This census differs from our post-conference survey, as it’s for all members, not just those who are at any given conference. Our goal is to understand the identities and experiences of our NACIS community. This survey takes approximately 10 minutes or less, all questions are optional, and your answers are anonymous.

Voting is open for the 2025 NACIS election

Every year, NACIS holds an election to fill vacant Board seats and this year we have an exceptional slate of highly qualified candidates for members to choose from. If you’re an active member of the Society, please cast your vote today. Voting ends at 11:59pm on October 7th.

Conference reminders

The NACIS annual meeting is October 15-18. Here are some reminders for attendees:

Register before October 3rd to get an early-bird discount.
There are still discounted rooms available at the Galt Hotel, our conference venue. We’ve filled 79% of our hotel nights and need to fill the rest to meet our obligation to the hotel. If you have any issues when booking, please contact business@nacis.org and we’ll be happy to help.

Proposed update to NACIS objectives

The objectives of NACIS as a society are defined in our constitution, and they were written many years ago. The Board has reviewed the NACIS objectives and is proposing an update to the language to better reflect our field today. Please review the proposed changes, and we will vote on whether to approve them during the Annual Business Meeting at the conference.

Get your copy of FLOW at NACIS

Guerrillas! Get your copy of Atlas at a Conference: Flow. We invite you to purchase a discounted print copy of the atlas that was created and compiled at NACIS 2024, to pick up in person at this year’s NACIS in Louisville.

Purchase here by October 3rd and use code FLOW@NACIS2025 to remove the shipping fee, and we’ll know you plan to pick it up from us at the conference. Folks who contributed a map to the atlas can add an additional discount with the code FLOW@NACIS. Include both codes if you contributed and plan to pick up at NACIS.

Important note: pre-ordering is required. You will not be able to purchase a physical copy on site at the conference. You can always purchase any atlas on our website to be shipped to your home for a $7 flat-rate fee. Questions? Contact Alicia Cowart.
