“A Walking Tour & Guide to Halifax’s Greatest Haunts” is a thematic map designed as a double-sided, accordion-fold brochure, arranged into six panels for ease of use on a walking tour. The map guides users to twelve haunted locations in downtown Halifax, with a secondary map on the reverse side highlighting additional haunted sites across the greater Halifax area. The project blends cartographic design and narrative storytelling to showcase Halifax through a unique lens that celebrates the city’s local history and folklore. Spatial data for this map was processed in ArcGIS Pro, styled in Adobe Illustrator, and paired with cover art designed in Adobe Photoshop. Careful attention to typography and a simple yet impactful colour palette reinforces the theme, resulting in a product that is both functional and visually engaging.
