VIRTUAL RECEPTION AND MAP GALLERY

Wednesday October 13, 2021 8:00pm – 9:30pm CDT 

Just because you couldn’t make it to Oklahoma City doesn’t mean you can’t meet up with other members of the NACIS community for stimulating conversations and social interactions! Join us in Remo where you will be able to chat with fellow attendees and even discuss entries in this year’s Map Gallery!

NACIS NIGHT IN

Thursday October 14, 2021 5:30pm – 9:30pm CDT 

Join us for this opportunity to socialize with other attendees in a virtual environment. Pick up discussions from the previous evening, or meet different people and strike up a new conversation! This session will begin an hour before NACIS Night Out for in-person attendees, so they can join the fun while sprucing up for the night out at Parlor.

MEET-A-CARTO

Friday October 15, 2021 12:00pm – 2:00pm CDT

Just because you are stuck in your office with a sack lunch doesn’t mean you have to eat alone! Join us for Meet a Carto, the virtual answer to the in-person Lunch Bunch. Spice up your lunch with some great conversation and camaraderie.

There’s no better way to end a week of NACIS than a virtual happy hour on Friday to reminisce about all of the great presentations, interactions, and maps!

Map Quilt

This year’s Map Quilt shows the host city in 10 maps as imagined by 10 cartographers. Each cartographer contributes their own unique style and perspective.

Student Map Gallery and Competition

Visit the student gallery and explore the amazing work of cartographers learning the art and science of cartography. Vote to reward exceptional work in cartographic design quality and cartographic research quality.

Student Dynamic Map Gallery and Competition

Visit the student dynamic map gallery to see interactive, digital, and story maps. Visit the gallery to vote for excellent individual and group submissions.
