Conference videos are online

Date posted: October 26, 2022

Our 42nd Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN was a great success. Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the open and friendly culture of our Society. We are excited to announce that recordings of the conference presentations are already available on our YouTube channel. Catch up on sessions you missed, rewatch your favorite talks, and share the videos with your friends.

A special thank you to East View Geospatial, Julie Witmer, Lenore Castro, and an anonymous member for their generous donations to support video recording at NACIS this year.

We look forward to seeing you at NACIS 2023!

Library research fellowship opportunity

The American Geographical Society Library fellowship program was created to give scholars from this country and abroad an opportunity to pursue their work in proximity to a distinguished collection of primary sources.

The Library’s position within the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Libraries, its location near other major research collections, and its links with scholars and institutions in this country and abroad, offer a network of resources invaluable for AGSL fellows. The Library maintains a wide variety of hard to find primary and secondary resources.

Approximately 4-8 fellowships are awarded each year. They can last up to four weeks and provide a weekly stipend of $500.00 ($2,000 maximum) to help defray the travel and living expenses relative to the residency. The deadline to apply is November 30, 2022. Awards will be announced in December 2022 for fellowships to be held during 2023. See the AGSL website for more details.
