NACIS board nomination deadline extended


Do you enjoy NACIS? Do you want to give back or make some changes? Nominate yourself to serve on the board! Volunteering as a board member is a rewarding way to support our Society and make deeper connections with colleagues. You can learn more about volunteering with NACIS in this informative talk from NACIS 2021.

CaGIS seeks an Executive Director


The Cartography and Geographic Information Society announces the opening of its Executive Director (ED) position, to start in late 2022. Details of the expectations for ED candidates are available online. Anyone who is interested in serving in this capacity should contact Daniel Cole before March 1, 2022. The candidate will be selected in late summer 2022, and
there will be an opportunity for overlap and transition with the current ED until the start date for the chosen candidate.
 

CaGIS map design competition reminder


Submissions are still open for the CaGIS 49th Annual Map Design Competition. The competition is open to all mapmakers in the United States and Canada for maps completed or published during the calendar year of 2021. The deadline is January 31, and entry is free for all. See award categories and entry details here.
