Map Gallery: Ideas Wanted
Have you enjoyed past special exhibits in the Map Gallery, like the Monochrome Maps project, CIA Maps History, or even the tangible maps exhibit featuring a range of media? Maybe you’ve wondered where the special exhibits come from? Well, wonder no more – they happen when people contact the gallery coordinator and say, “I’d like to have some space for a special exhibit.” It’s just that easy!
If you’ve ever thought about curating your own mini gallery, now is your chance. We will have a large gallery space this year, which means we can accommodate more competition entries (hint, hint) but we’ll also have quite a bit of space for special exhibits. Contact Map Gallery coordinator Amy Rock with ideas or questions.
Travel Grants
Travel grants are available to support the attendance of students and professionals alike. Grant applications are now open. See our NACIS Travel Grants page for details. While there is no deadline for applications, grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis starting June 30, 2022.
Hotel Reservations
The conference will be at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel (The Depot), 225 3rd Ave S., in downtown Minneapolis. Book your room at this link or contact Renaissance Reservations at (612) 375-1700 or 866-211-4611 and ask for the ‘NACIS Annual Meeting 2022 Room Block’ to get the group rate of $199.00 for a standard guest room. The website includes terms and conditions which explain the cancellation policy to avoid penalty. Our hotel reservation block of rooms typically sells out, so please make your reservations early to ensure you get the NACIS discounted rate.
For any further questions about the meeting, email [email protected].
